#ENGSWE All Eyes On Our Quarters…!

July 5, 2018

swedesHave you recovered from Tuesday’s game yet? Forget about nail-biting, I have no fingers left…!!! But we made it through and Saturday is only days away for the Quarter Final match with Sweden – the land of the vegetable nobody eats, and cars people don’t brag about in public.

Personally I think we are already through to the hard-earned semis…! Ooer!? When was the last time England had a semi…? I only think about semis when it’s the World Cup…!

Perhaps I should eat more Swedes… uh-o! Now it’s just getting silly innuendo time…!

Mad Ant’s England Car – share YOUR pic!

June 27, 2018

FINALLY… more people are starting to deck out their houses and cars with England flags! So we thought we’d share a pic of Mad Ant’s car…

Mad Ant's England Car

He’s not gone overboard this year, although he was going to get the whole car resprayed as an England flag – and might still do, if England win the World Cup! – but he checked the band’s royalty statement and there wasn’t enough dosh for a splosh!

Yes we know it’s a froggy-car (and we take the piss out of him for it!) but what affordable English cars are there out there that won’t break down?

He’ll be driving down to Cornwall from London today, so if you see his car (and it might have some more ‘bling’ on it) give him a honk and a wave!

Let’s get an ANTHEM FOR ENGLAND…!

Keep requesting CHANT LIKE AN ENGLISH FAN from your local radio station… Watch the video… and keep sharing and retweeting… COME ON ENGLAND…!

#FIFA – Fuck It’s Football Again!

June 26, 2018

Amazingly… Hard to believe I know… there are some ‘non-England’ fans living in our country!!! WTF?

The-Laddz-Chant-Pissup-Hi

I met one this morning that said, “Fuck, football… AGAIN…!” What a twat! But I did manage a very good 5-second response to the ponse,

“I bet you think FIFA stands for Fuck It’s Football Again!”

Again, what a twat!

#ItsComingHome Where’s Our World Cup Anthem…?

June 26, 2018

With anticipation rising higher than a tsunami for England’s stonking win against Belgium this Thursday (and we WILL win our group!) more and more people are – finally – getting into the patriotic, sporting spirit and getting behind our national team, but…

Where’s Our World Cup Anthem…?

There are some unofficial songs out there at least, and we’re pitching our old chestnut from back in 2006 out there, just ‘cos we think it’s the most catchy song in the running for the country’s favourite, and it doesn’t get boring! Might even remind you of the Bangles…! hehe

Sing it loud, sing it proud, chant it from the stands for ENGER-LAND…!

#worldcup England 6 – 1 Panama!

June 24, 2018

CHANT LIKE AN ENGLISH FAN…!

Tremendous play by the England squad. A blinding first half ending in 5 – 0 to England. I had high hopes for an equally intense second half, but was disappointed by the play of the substitutes who didn’t really perform as strongly as the players they had replaced. Very sloppy giving away the goal to Panama, but they deserved something for sticking with it and not quitting under the pressure of a far superior team.

My prize goes to the referee who was spot on at penalizing the dirty tactics by the opposition – refreshing to actually see a ref that can do his job for once!

High hopes for Thursday’s match against Belgium…

#WorldCup2018 England 2 Tunisia 1 – Chant it from the rooftops!

June 18, 2018

Well, most people didn’t have their hopes up for the England Squad, but how wrong they were!

CHANT LIKE AN ENGLISH FAN

What a stonking first match for England! They came out with fighting spirit, no nerves in sight. First goal almost within the first ten minutes really set the tune for the match… Sloppy refereeing missed much of the push-and-shove technique from Tunisia (which was ultimately their downfall!)… An unnecessary penalty equalized at half time, BUT… The Lions came back with avengence in the second half, and through pressure and persistence made it a cracking 2:1 finish to England…!!! Great play by Kane… a player to watch as the competition heats up.

The only thing that was missing admidst the fan-tastist chanting from the stands was to hear, “Ay-o whey-o, Chant Like An English Fan… Come An’ Score A Goal If Ye Think Ye Fast Engough!”

If you haven’t heard the song, have a listen via the link below:

#ChantEngland #WorldCup #WorldCup2018 “Chant Like An English Fan”

June 17, 2018

World Cup SongTomorrow (June 18th) the England squad gets to show their true colours in the world football arena in Russia. Do they have what it takes to prove our nation proud? Is the line-up going to be right? Will they get off to a good start?

IS ANYONE IN ENGLAND BEHIND THE TEAM?

With no ‘official’ song is it any wonder nobody is getting behind the game? Football songs and chants are part of the make up of the game. Over the years the whole ‘unofficial’ song for England was all part of the build-up to the World Cup, but this year… nada! Have the populace given up? Are we sick and tired of being lied to by politicians that promise the earth and deliver nothing? Has this apathy now seeped into sport? Has this lethargy seeped into the beautiful game of football? Do we really feel England has absolutely no hope of getting anywhere in the World Cup, so we’re not even going to bother getting behind the team and the flag and giving it large?

Well, we’re not giving up!

Even though the co-writer of this song, the late Richard Eyre, is now pushing up the daisies on the footie pitch, in HIS honour, we’ve re-released our stonking ‘toon’ to get the England fans in the mood, and you can hear it…

HERE

If ya like it, share it and get it played in the radio. If ya don’t like it, record yer own and get behind the England team.

World Cup: 4-1 England v Germany

June 27, 2010

The Three Lions hang their manes in shame, but not for the lack of support from the fans, and not for the want of VIDEO REFEREES NEEDED…!!!

If that bloody, foreign ref that disallowed a BLATANT equalizing goal from England is still alive, I’m sure his football career as a ref is over, or will be plagued with DEATH THREATS from now until his grave! It was downright disgraceful refereeing (especially when the ref in the Mex v Argentina game just ALLOWED an offside goal from Argentina!)

Certainly, these matches have great entertainment value and will be talked about for weeks to come.

England did well, coming back very strong after half time, but the younger, fitter, German squad capitalized on the ill-gotten 2-1 lead, and our veteran squad just couldn’t pull it together. It was nice to finally see Rooney actually playing football with his team mates this match, but sadly not enough.

ONLY ONE THING good can come of the England v Germany ref BLUNDER and the action from Mexico v Argentina going on right now: FIFA… sort your fucking refs out and get video coverage to stop FUCKING UP…!!!

I can read the headlines in the British papers now…

Cheers for keeping the England “Chant” alive and CHANTING LIKE AN ENGLISH FAN…

World Cup: Team USA v Ghana June 26th

June 26, 2010

As the tension mounts in South Africa,¬†an incredible match today between Team USA and Ghana…! If there’s a single fingernail left in the entire United States, I’d be surprised.

In an unexpected half time interview, when questioned about the early Ghanan goal, US keeper, Tim Howard, is alledged to have said, “Well, I saw the F**K-F**K…!!!%#@!!#@ FUUUUUU-%&*$#@@@… and then I F*******K-F-kteeee-F&^%$$#@!!!”

True to form, though, team USA came back to equalize early in the second half. Any American that wasn’t previously a fan of soccer (football, to our European readers!) will undoubtedly be converted forever, if they were lucky enough to have seen today’s match. When it looked like it was headed into a penalty shoot-out, with Team USA holding their own, the second goal from Ghana knocked the plucky US spirit a little. But surely, with Independence Day just around the corner, the same never-say-die attitude Team USA is renowned for kept them going all the way to the final, final whistle.

So, sadly, we say cheerio to our cousins from across the Pond, and hope they will now stand shoulder to shoulder with the England fans and help chant the Laddz to victory against arch rivals Germany in tomorrow’s match…

…Remember, keep the “Chant” alive and continue to CHANT LIKE AN ENGLISH FAN…!
